A debate that goes back centuries. A question that everybody wants answered. The controversial candy: a cookie decadently covered in caramel and chocolate. Everyone wants to know which is better: Left Twix vs. Right Twix. You may be asking yourself, is there even a difference? Well, let’s take a look at the facts!

Some argue that there is absolutely no difference between Left and Right Twix. Others completely refuse to take the smallest bite of the candy counterpart they believe to be worse. Mars, the parent company of Twix, only

started this dual packaging in 2017, starting the heated debate. Did they only create this small change as a marketing tactic or did they truly alter the recipe?

After a blind taste test of the battling Twix, almost all of the participants almost all agreed that Left Twix contains more caramel and is much chewier, while Right Twix has more cookie and requires less chewing. While the results did conclude in a 57% favor towards the Left Twix, it is really up to your own personal preference! 

The only thing that is truly undeniable, without regard to preference, is that there is in fact a difference between the two candies. Another question arises from this debate: chewy vs. crunchy?
