This year has been an experience. We haven’t been to school in months, we have to wear masks everywhere we go, and we haven’t really been able to go to restaurants. Now more than ever these local businesses, especially restaurants, need our help. Whether you buy a gift card from a local restaurant to save for later or get takeout or delivery there are many options to help your local restaurants. 

Let me tell you about a few of these local restaurants and what they are all about, as well as how they are dealing with the pandemic.  

The first local restaurant I want to tell you about is Mother’s North Grille. This restaurant is in Timonium, Maryland at 2450 Broad Ave. This restaurant has a bar atmosphere and is decked out in sports décor, all Maryland of course.  They have delivery through GrubHub, UberEATS, and Doodash as well as many other delivery services. This restaurant serves all American food. They have delicious wings, juicy burgers, hand-cut fries, chicken sandwiches, salads, and more all at an affordable price. They even have deserts as well as hand-made ice cream!  You can also buy gift cards and save them for later and sometimes they send coupons in the mail.  I really recommend this restaurant if you love American cuisine. 

The next local restaurant you should check out is Papi’s Tacos. This local restaurant has two locations, one in Hampden, 3820 Falls Road, and one in Fells Point, 1703 Aliceanna St. This restaurant has the best atmosphere. Even though you can’t experience that atmosphere right now since restaurants for indoor and outdoor seating in Baltimore City are closed, you can still get some of their amazing Mexican food to go. In fact, the owners Charlie Gjerde and Carrie Podles even went to Mexico to experience authentic Mexican food, that way they can model their cuisine after authentic Mexican food. Some of the best-selling items on their menu are the house guacamole, which is homemade, the build your own street tacos, and the churros that come with a cajeta caramel sauce on the side. This restaurant has pickup as well as delivery through Doordash, so you can get Papi’s Tacos delivered right to your home. This restaurant has the best Mexican food in town, I definitely recommend that you give Papi’s Tacos a try! 

The final local restaurant I’m going to recommend today is Nick’s Grandstand Grill and Crabhouse. This local restaurant is right on the Maryland State Fairgrounds. The address is 2200 York Road in Lutherville-Timonium. This restaurant is located on the second level of the grandstands overlooking the racetrack. Sometimes there are horse races and you can watch them while you eat. This restaurant has much to offer. There is indoor and outdoor seating at Nick’s Grandstand Grill, which is at twenty-five to fifty percent capacity, with TV’s both indoors and outdoors, as well as an oyster bar. The food is also delicious. Some of their most popular menu items are their buck a shuck oysters, the salty fries, and the jumbo lump crab cake. Nicks Grandstand Grill is a very inexpensive restaurant, as you can get seafood items for under 20 dollars. This restaurant unfortunately does not have delivery, but they do have takeout. This restaurant is a great seafood restaurant in the Timonium and I really recommend that you check it out sometime soon.
